Keeper for a Day

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a keeper of the birds in the internationally renowned Leeds Castle aviary? Well, now it’s possible for you to join one of the keepers for a day to find out.

Come and see what goes on behind the scenes and get involved in the daily work of a keeper, from food preparation, feeding and cleaning out to anything else that might happen!

You can also help our Falconer with his Bird of Prey demonstrations, feed the swans, ducks and geese, help the Keeper with his aviary talk to our visitors and there’s a free lunch thrown in too for you!

If you are aged 6 to 12 years old there is a special Junior Day*. Whatever age you are, being keeper for the day promises to be an unforgettable experience. Or you may wish to buy it as a special gift for someone else.

Keeper for the day is available all year round on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays (except Bank Holiday Mondays) subject to availability.

*Junior Keeper for the Day is for children aged 6 to 12 years old inclusive who must be accompanied by one adult at all times.
